1993 “Beyond” hit becomes Hong Kong’s pro-democracy anthem

Have a listen at this…

…and then the full song…

*sniff* Tears are rolling down my eyes…

Here’s what the chorus loosely translates as:

原諒我這一生不羈放縱愛自由
也會怕有一天會跌倒
背棄了理想 誰人都可以
那會怕有一天只你共我

Forgive me for an indulgent love of freedom,
Even if it means I could stumble,
Everyone can give it all up, and they may,
Until it remains just two of us…
