HK Chief’s daughter thanks Hong Kong taxpayers for funding her ‘beautiful shoes and dresses’

At the height of political unrest, citizen uncertainty, urban warfare, street protests, and social media hunger games, happening just 3hours and 45mins away from us in Hong Kong, we’re not surprised to see that the flaming wars have begun. While Chai Yan Leung is stranger to social media heat, it is his daughter that’s on the hot seat now – appearing to be stirring up heat on her Facebook account.

Here is the post that’s making headlines:

It reads: “This is actually a beautiful necklace bought at Lane Crawford (yes- funded by all you HK taxpayers!! So are all my beautiful shoes and dresses and clutches!! Thank you so much!!!!) Actually maybe I shouldn’t say ‘all you’- since most of you here are probably unemployed hence have all this time obsessed with bombarding me with messages.”

Is it social media suicide? Insensitivity gone out of whack, or just her computer kenna hack?
