We’re a tiny nation that has gone from sleepy fishing town to bustling port and a financial hub in quite a short span of time. And it’s nice to be recognised. We don’t have brilliant climate and it’s either hot or wet here in Singapore, and we complain that there’s usually nothing to do after a while but to the outside world we’re a tiny slice of paradise.
