Scrolling through Instagram for the past few weeks, I’m sure all of you would’ve experienced salted egg overload! From the ubiquitous salted egg potato chips and fries, to the rare salted egg lava cake; it’s not a surprise that you’ve seen them all!
It’s not that special anymore, really.
Bitch please, salted egg everything is so last week! This week, everyone’s talking about Rainbow food everything!
Here are the 5 most colourful rainbow food you can ever find!
1)Rainbow Grilled Cheese Sandwich
The latest rainbow food that went internationally viral just hours ago, hails all the way from Hong Kong!

Just look at that rainbow goodness! A creation of Kala Toast, each colour corresponds to a different flavour – red (tomato), blue (lavender), green (basil) and yellow is a blend of 4 types of cheese (mozzarella, emmental, cheddar and gruyere).
I can’t help but feel so happy and excited looking at the colours!
2)Rainbow coffee
Coffee is no longer a simple beverage. Thanks to hipsters, each cup of coffee is now an art! Wait till you feast your eyes on the kaleidoscope of colours sitting on your coffee!
Presenting the Rainbow Coffee! Brainchild of a barista from Mason Salisbury in Las Vegas!
Just look at how the colours ooze out as the barista brews the coffee in the video!
3)Rainbow Bagel
Imagine biting into one of these colourful bagels for breakfast, topped with what is called “funfetti” cream! Every bite into the rainbow bagel would be a bite of happiness!
But OMG I realised that it would take more than 20 hours by flight to New York just to experience my rainbow breakfast!
Then, I chanced upon this video and it’s really not helping!
4) Rainbow Pasta
Tucked away in a hidden corner of Harajuku in Tokyo, lies a very unique cafe called the Kawaii Monster Cafe. You will be amazed by the array of psychadelic coloured food that they serve! The food item worth mentioning from is the rainbow pasta!
Don’t be fooled by the appearance and the excessive use of food dye! The pasta tastes so heavenly! Trust me, been there, ate that.
5)Rainbow Pancake
We go a little closer to home to satisfy our rainbow cravings! Nook Cafe & Bar, located at Bukit Timah, is known for their DIY pancakes.
If you are lazy, like me, you can choose to order a ready-made stack of rainbow pancakes for only $12!
With all these rainbow food available to stuff your face silly, I won’t be surprised if you get a rainbow overload and start puking out rainbows! Happy feasting!
