“What does the fox say?”
Remember this ear worm?
It came back to us when we saw this FB post by ESM Goh Chok Tong today.
First, some history and context.
During the run-up to the election, Chee captured national media attention when he came across then Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong while campaigning at a hawker centre, and used a megaphone to infamously shout
“WHERE IS OUR MONEY?”
Bukit Batok By-Election is stirring up some crusty ol’ barrel-bottom charred bits as just yesterday, PM Lee weighed in, describing Dr Chee as a “hypocrite’’.
Quick to take offense and jump to his (CSJ’s) defence are his SDP mates who then say: “words or action do not define a person…” (er… what does then?!)
and the crowd waits, in keen anticipation for the punchline…
which, was just served – pipin’ hot – by ESM Goh

“Since my name is mentioned in the Bukit Batok by-election, I say: don’t kick up a fuss over CSJ rudely shouting at me in Jurong. Words or actions do not define a person; character is not important for a would be MP, so say SDP.
And the fox to the farmer, “Hire me to look after your hen house. I have the perfect plan”. — gct
