So what is this bus stop all about?
According to a joint press release by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, Land Transport Authority, National Parks Board and Urban Redevelopment Authority on Thursday, this prototype was conceived by a group of architects from DP Architects to re-imagine the daily commuting experience and how people “transit, interact and socialise” in this social space.
This bus stop has interactive smart boards that provide content and services such as bus arrival timings, e-books download and journey planner; a green roof; bicycle parking; a swing; and best of all, it has free Wi-Fi and handphone charging points.
Did somebody say, BEST POKESTOP EVER?!!

NOBODY ASKED ME BUT,
I find this concept really interesting. No doubt the best commuting experience should be shorter waiting time and more seats onboard but I guess there is only so much one can do in those areas.
So why not work on making the waiting experience better.
However, there lies the bigger question of maintenance of these places.
If you are curious and want to check it out for yourself, this bus stop is located at Jurong Gateway Road at Jurong East Central. The new features will be in operation for a year from August 2016.
