Singapore’s religious leaders have come out to state the need to stand in solidarity in light of the detention of Singapore’s 1st radicalised female.
The 22 year old detainee, was a infant care assistant with the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) SparkleTots.
Mufti Dr Mohamed Fatris Bakaram, MUIS
Bishop Rennis Ponniah, National Council of Churches of Singapore
Archbishop William Goh, Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore
Indeed, the safety of Singapore does not just lie in the hands of the Government. Each and every one of her citizens need to play his or her part to inform the authorities of radicalised individuals for the common good of the community.
At the same time, we shouldn’t be finger-pointing during such a time, but to stand together in solidarity with friends of every race and religion to promote peace, respect and harmony.
